As ever...
When it comes to arachnids, everyone is an expert, and nobody has any real information. Genny is doing OK, still acting like she is having an epileptic seizure if you touch her, but somewhat more responsive. The links that everyone steered me toward concerned slings: This is an 8 year old adult, for those of you who read and do not comprehend. Please don't post or respond just for the sake of responding.
I'll hit up my zoological supply guy tomorrow... he is familiar with the syndrome. It is endemic to virtually all species of tarantulas, and if they make it to the next molt, they are fine... but mine just molted.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts and "advice". Now I know why I keep to myself.
Welcome to A.B. :)

Good riddance to bad rubbish...

Sorry about the snap, guys. I just hate to see the poor thing suffer. Yes, acting as if she forgot how to walk. I'll try to do a short video later and post it. She molted about two weeks ago. In the past, if I could limp them by to the next molt they would recover, but they normally don't eat. She probably won't make it. My one success came through pumping up the heat and humidity excessively, I don't know if that's just a fluke, or if I was actually doing something right.
"Spiderologist" was a nick-name given me by a friend years ago. Sorry if that offends some of you, and once again I apologize for my rudeness.

No fluke there with your method. There have been a few others that have reported good results with raising the humidity and temps. I don't think that hot toilet paper is the best way to do that, But you’re idea is right I think.

I look forward to your video, as sad as the situation is it is still interesting to see things like this happen. Maybe one day soon we can start to pin point a cause/cure.

One more thing, you said she was pretty recently molted. Is there any chance she is just not fully hardened up yet? Or is the jerky movement just to off to be anything but a sickness of sorts?
