For those who haven't seen a Crassicrus lamanai (Belize Cinnamon), thought I'd share him with you... My male molted on 7-27-16 and is turning into quite the handsome fellow!
The photo below was taken today, 7-31-16. Notice his new leg that he regenerated after losing it in his last molt.

The other photo below was taken on 7-10-16; the white powder on his abdomen is cricket dust. Amazing what 3 weeks and a molt will do! Went from a 2" to approx 2.5" leg span.

Hello there people, I'm not sure if this should go under species or genus but whatever . This genus is kinda under the rug and many people avoid or don't even know of this genus. This is a true lost gem of a genus and hopefully many more people whether beginner or long-time hobbyist can come to have one of these amazing gems in this hobby. Please consider this beauty as an introduction to this genus if you don't own anything of this genus already. I love my two a lot and they are absolute stunners, which is why I want to showcase this genus or species.

0.1 Crassicrus sp. Guerrero

How big do they get?
I just received a Crassicrus Sp Veracruz. she’s a young female. One week in and she has tunnelled everywhere. It’s been very difficult to find much info about the species. But I saw one vague estimate of 4-6 inches. Very pretty spider. She has been docile so far, not even a bum scratch.
I really like her and I hope she thrives. IMG_20250322_145022_Original.jpeg

For @Harrybowhead

This is my Crassicrus Veracruz now. She has tunnelled and earth moved to create this entrance and this is where she now resides. So yes, room for excavation and tunnelling. She only uses the hide to retreat to along a long tunnel if very disturbed and she has blocked the hides usual entrance and uses her own tunnels to get about the enclosure. In fact one of the first things she did was block the hides entrance and then dug her own version. Usually she sits here.

Thank you so much for all the information it's all very helpful! my spidee arrived today I'm using the same substrate as you, a piece of cork bark as a hide/starter burrow got a lil fake cactus in there for an anchor point I'm not sure how much they web and a water bowl. the enclosure is slightly smaller than yours but I can always upgrade when she grows, no idea how big she may grow though
