Courier for centipedes?

Hello everyone,
I'm wondering what courier ships centipedes (without having to contact them beforehand and get special approval) throughout the us. Most that I can find either don't ship animals at all, or will, but don't ship venomous animals like centipedes. Is there any shipping company that ships these or do couriers like USPS not actually care if it's venomous unless it's dangerous. (I'm looking to ship scolopendra aztecorum)

USPS cares A LOT what goes in the mail. Your thoughts on it are not true.

I checked and FedEx says you need special approval for animals which could take weeks and they specifically don't allow arachnids or venomous animals

They are shipping live animals all the time and know it as the boxes read “live animals”

I don’t know how dealers arrange it, but they ship legitimately. I receive them trust me, FedEx knows, esp when they ask me “live animals?” at pick up. This is not employees looking another way.

Fedex. I use one of the online reptile shipping vendors, of which there are several, and it walks you through the requirements for booking the shipment and properly labeling the package. Search "shipping reptiles" in Google and any of the first 3 or 4 results that come up will work. You'll also get substantially better rates than by shipping through FedEx directly. UPS and USPS will not knowingly ship live animals.

Seeing as you are located in Canada, and shipping animals between the US and Canada is illegal (unless you have the proper permits), your question is irrelevant.

We do NOT allow the promoting of anything illegal (like "brown boxing").

So, unless you have the proper permits, and the other party has the proper permits, then there is nothing left to discuss here. However, if both parties have the proper permits, then my best advice is to ask the shipping companies directly. The only way to get accurate information is to go directly to the source.

Ah, didn't realize "hamilton" was in Canada. My recommendations above are for shipping within the US only.

I've been looking and all the ones I can find specifically forbid the shipping of venomous animals. Does FedEx actually check if they're venomous or not?

I'm actually looking to have it shipped somewhere in buffalo or Niagara falls, NY where I can pick it up and drive back across. I have already filled out all cfia paperwork as per the agent I spoke to, as centipedes don't require import permits.

I've never had an issue, and I always include a label on the packages with exactly what is inside (taxonomic name, common name, quantity). Whether or not they check, I don't know, but they have all the info needed to do so if they want.

Ok, thank you. I will try this and see how it goes.

Venomous animals often refers to reptiles- delta is the one who ships those. We ship tarantulas thru FedEx without issue. Most use a 3rd party with a moa with FedEx such as redline, shipyourreptiles, reptiles express, etc. I know certain animals can go legally between Canada and US without a full USFW license, but I’m not sure entirely. A few minutes of googling should answer tho. Honestly I’d ask a Canadian wildlife importer or local T vendor and then go from there

Ok, that clears it up about the venomous animals. Like I said in the above comment I'm just gonna have it shipped to Niagara falls because not a single courier I can find ships across the border. I'll probably go with shipyourreptiles. The cfia agent also said it would be easier to bring it across in person.
