Could my tarantula get stuck in sap?

I got a little wood bark hide for my tarantula but noticed there was some sticky stuff on it. Will that be a problem if my tarantula touches it?

I'd remove it entirely and replace it with a piece of cork bark, personally, which is lighter (thus safer) and isn't toxic. A lot of woods and resins can be repellant or even toxic to invertebrates.

Welp I might just do this. I'm kinda mad, they literally advertised it as a hide for spiders. I think these are the same hides they put in the spider tanks at the store too

Pet stores are notoriously bad when it comes to animal advice....making profits is their primary motivation and this happens by selling stuff....so they will say or do just about anything to make those sales.

And they advertise 100w heat bulbs for tarantulas aswell. The employees are good at bs but know nothing.
