Hi Kyle,
No, she hasn't really got that much size to her at all, her carapace length is about 12-14mm, as big as she'll get I would say. Legsapn is approx. 12cm max at a guess :)

Cheers,
Steve

Coremiocnemis validus
Hello :)
Are you 100% certain it is a C.valida?? The setae on Met IV don't look right to me for that species? It looks, (in my opinion), more like a C.cunicularia. Which, if it is, is a good find :)

Thanks,
Steve

Based on someone's :)) ) drawings I would have to agree!

Seigneur Veinen,

Is the specimen CB or WC? I wouldn't mind seeing some closeups of Met IV from different angles if you have a chance.

Hi Bill,
Yes, that is more what I see as C.valida. Definately a longer RF met to tib IB in valida than in cunicularia, combined with the setae that curl backwards distinctly in valida on met IV. I remember Sören had a good image of valida and if you look at Rick West's site, I believe he has images that show the variation too, although it is easier with actual specimens, with locale data, side by side to compare :).

Cheers,
Steve

As I said on the australian forum, Steve you are right, my 2 females are Coremiocnemis cunicularia (I have checked the rear legs)

It will be hard to find a male...
