oh yea! That's a good point. I think I'll look into securing it. Thanks.Looks pretty cool. I would be worried about the water dish. A large spider will move it and escape or possibly get a leg out and get injured. I have put dish's in with mine I thought they would never move and they end up on the other side of the cage.
Glad you like it. It's a 9" drop from the top. It slants down at the back end but so does the monitor taper towards the back so it's even less at the back. I made it so there wouldn't be any substrate falling out when opening. I suppose you could put more substrate in there at the risk of defeating that feature. You could not use the false floor and put a stopper strip of acrylic across the floor coming up to the bottom of the screen opening on the front. That would give you a good 3". I can't say for sure but maybe the false floor would help minimize any injuries as well as having nothing inside to fall onto. One of the coolest idea's I've seen for a T enclosure....
I'm curious though, does she ever do any exploring? Seems like a big drop to the bottom.... Is it possible to fill it up more with dirt? Or would that render opening it impossible without making a huge mess?
It's set up and in place. She's in the hide.

Light won't usually be on.

My favorite would have to be the hollow clear acrylic toilet seat enclosure that I keep a black widow in; just to tease itA little reminder of the good 'ole days when human bums weren't safe!
