Cockroach/Other questions about pet insects

I live In Alberta, Canada. I am just wondering if anybody knows if it is legal to keep madagascan hissing cockroaches in captivity? Or who I could contact to find out?

I'm looking for a cheap insect to keep in captivity.

they aren't lawyers or anything and i have no idea about the differences between provinces or whatever, but the couple who run it are pretty cool from everything i have seen and seem to be one of the powers in Canadian tarantula etc hobbydom

It is illegal to keep any non native/currently established species of roach in Canada.
