My millipede enclosure is growing cobweb mold... I just noticed it and it spread very quickly like they say. I can't remember if it is harmful to millipedes or not though. I noticed a tiny bit of it a few days ago under a piece of wood and removed it with tongs but it's back and there's a lot. Can I wait to remove it or should I do it immediately? There is a millipede right under the moss.

So I removed just the moss, old cukes, and the piece of wood that it was growing on. I have to go away for the weekend but will the pedes suffer if the mold has another rapid growth? Will they be ok for a little while if while i'm gone it comes back?

In my own experience it's more of an annoyance, but it's still one of my least favorite molds to see. Ends up covering the entire container. I'm fairly sure most millipedes will be fine with a large growth of it though.

Thanks! I have pretty much put a stop to it (at least for now) and I haven't seen it since then. I've been keeping their food in a dish instead of placing it on the substrate and that seems to be helping tremendously and makes the food much easier to remove. That mold really is annoying haha but I suppose that it must be present in their natural environment.
