Hello,

I’m very curious I’ve owned my Chilobrachys sp. Kaeng Krachan female for around 7 years now and yet I still can’t find much information online about this species. It seems to be the odd one out in the hobby. I never see many people owning them, there’s not many videos on YouTube etc.

Why is this? Is it a species not many people like? It is a difficult T to care for?

I can’t see it being its looks as I’ve seen many Ts look extremely boring in comparison. The caring side of things is fairly easy. Yeah it’s an old world and it bolts and it’s quite defensive but I just don’t get why not many people have this species.

Without being biased because I have one 😂

Chilobrachys is one of my favorite species!! Kaeng Krachen was my very first old world T in my collection. Since then I have about 6 different species of Chilobrachys. They are fantastic to watch stalk prey and I love the turret of dirt they make. My large female Chilobrachys sp dyscolus black is always sitting out in the open on her webbing. Truly one of my favorites!!

Chilobrachys sp. Kaeng Krachan might be a rarer species. The genus is popular .

Mine doesn’t tend to web as much anymore, it tends to make a borrow and then lightly web around the borrow and inside the borrow.

When it was younger it would web every inch of the enclosure though! Lost 3 water dishes during that time 😂
