I didn't count them, but I am sure there is at least 150, more likely 200+. :)

Just picked up this new girl (I believe) tonight...someone was selling her locally on Craigslist - it was too good of a deal to pass up. She's lightening fast!!

You may be right...she was originally bought from a T/reptile store that has had a few mis-labeled T's in the past...so it's a definite possibility...any differences I can look for between the two? I think there seems to be a slight difference in the hairs on the abdomen...our girl's abdomen is more smooth where the pics of the Guanxienis looked to have courser hair on the abdomen....Thanks! Rob

I have 3 slings of c.andersoni and even as babies they are mental. I also have a juvi c.bermensis (spelling?) which i lost under the boyfriends bed for 20 mins when i was trying to re house it. It was in the pot, on my hand, in the air and gone in less then 2 seconds. Its easily the fastest spider i have. EASILY.

And they web like crazy, its really amazing. The c.bermensis has made a spiral tube filling its while tank with web. They grow quick too.

Definately a good cholice, and she will keep you on your toes!

I love them :D

Rob heres a good key to some of the hobby Chilobrachys
http://www.the-t-store.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=13217&st=0
your female seems to have the flame markings on the metatarsus and also Leg I is as equally robust as leg IV.Hope that helps!

Wow, thanks for the info. I know you know your T's and I really appreciate you passing that along. I'd like to breed her but need to identify exactly what she is first...I don't want to put hybrids in the hobby...rob

Chris,
According to the make-shift key (thanks again, Søren), both Chilobrachys sp. "andersoni" and Chilobrachys sp. "Guangxi" have equally robust leg I and IV, but based on Søren's key, it still appears to be the latter.

Rob,
Can you post a clear picture of the metatarsi of the first pair of legs?

No problem Rob!Good luck finding a male. You don't usually see to many of this species around.Mostly just see WC females and that's it.

Okay, I got the pics but it sure wasn't easy!! She did not want to cooperate and took off yet again after attacking the camera! Here's the pics, hope they're good enough and what you were looking for:
