i have a large female common chilie rose, the proble is that she has not eaten for two weeks and her abdomen turned black a week ago, is this length of time normal. coz all my other chilies just seem to turn over and molt. the tank is 8" x 12" and has a burrow plus small water bowl and is at a temperature of aprox 80 - 82 degrees.

that is totally normal..in fact, G rosea defy all 'normal' T behaviour, whatever that is :)
She will molt when she is ready, and not before. Just make sure her water dish is full.

Heck, it's normal for any tarantula. I've got a G. aureostriata sling that went almost six weeks without eating before moulting. I've got some Aphonopelma slings that went over eight weeks without eating before moulting (heck, I'm still waiting on the one). Other Ts never have a period of noticeably not eating before they 'turn over' and moult.

If the tarantula is alive and the abdomen is not dramatically shrinking, I don't question anything :)
