Not sure if I should make a new thread or just bump this one but oh wall.

Anyway, I tried feeding it a mealworm just now and it won't it eat. Nothing wrong with that but in the process of making him notice it, I ended up destroying and moving some of it's webbing and now it's just looking into it's old spot where I accidentally had to move a lot of substrate just because I tried to stop the worm from burrowing. Will the tarantula be fine? I think it's one thing where I accidentally moved a lot of substrate but I think I spooked it from it's most comfortable spot.
Don´t worry, your tarantula should simply reorganise the enclosure to its liking.

It was mentioned once, but that rock really needs to go. It is of no benefit to your tarantula. The only thing it can do is harm it in the event of a fall. Your Chaco ( G pulchripes) will tend to stay in the open, but a hide would be better for the times it prefers cover.

It's fine. Remember to crush the mealworm's head so it can't burrow or bite the T. It'll eat it eventually.

It will get comfortable on another spot ;)
Just make sure it has water and a hide, and remove the rock. Try feeding again next week. Keep an eye on its abdomen, it'll get black and shiny when in premolt.

I tried to stop the worm from burrowing.
Always crush the heads of mealworms before offering them as prey. This not only prevents burrowing, but it also prevents injuries to your tarantula. (Even as larvae, mealworms have strong mandibles and can injure your tarantula in the struggle to escape.)

It may be temporarily distressed from you disturbing its retreat, but it will settle down and rebuild.

Thank you all for your feedback :) The rock isn't there anymore so currently it's just a wide open area, will try and get a new shelter for him soon.
