Centipede-shaped but handle-able critter?

Big centipedes look like they would be really interesting to handle. I've handled a long-dead redhead centipede, which was pretty neat- their legs are a lot sharper than I expected. I'd like to hold a similarly-shaped live animal, but I would like to not handle a large, live centipede. Even if it was a relatively docile species, I'd be way too tense. And as far as I know, there's no such thing as a large, non-venomous centipede.

Are there any large millipedes that are shaped roughly like centipedes? The larger, flat segments, smaller number of large legs, that sort of thing. Like the Polydesmida millipedes, the little flat-backs, but big enough to have a more satisfying weight to them. Preferably confident enough to walk around on my hands instead of curling up and staying curled up.

All the flat backs are pretty small.
If you want something holdable then several of the "Giant Millipedes" are ideal
AGB's are huge and surface active.
One time I was cleaning out my Olive Banded Millie's and they were placed in a temporary container, after only 3 minutes of not checking I had to go looking for one.
They will curl up in your hand when first in your hand, but soon relax and start exploring.
Some of the smaller 15 cms. or less tend not to be surface active, but there are a few exceptions.
The giants, 17cms. and above are calmer.

Your choice is either Centipede or Millipede, nothing really in-between.

Any idea why the flat backs are shaped like centipedes? They sure act like other millipedes, and they fluoresce like other millipedes. From the body shape, you'd think they would be faster.

Guess I'll go looking into big millipedes, then. Thanks for the answer- figured I might as well ask, long shot or not.

Snakes are an option, but if you really want something that has legs I don’t know.

Closest thing I can think of is members the genus barydesmus, but I think you would have to travel to the rainforests of Ecuador in order to get your hands on one.
