You got some really beautiful stuff. I used to have a hainanum, I miss that centipede a lot. They are beautiful and I feel like they have very unique behavior. The jewel and white beard are crazy.
Thanks! I absolutely love my hainanum, they really do seem to have a unique behavior compared to the other species, i have also noticed that myself.

she measures 7-8 inches, so she is on the upper end of Heros size. She only eats pre killed crickets ant horn worm though 😆.

Oh, wow. Where are you from?
South Korea, true gigantea aren’t exactly cheap here (in fact this is the most I’ve paid for an invert) but become available once every few years or so whenever someone manages to breed them.

In general I’ve noticed the South American giants are a lot more common in the trade here in Asia than in Europe or NA.

Ahh, alright. Yeah, true gigantea are super expensive here in the US, too. And rarely, rarely offered. Quite unfortunate, considering this is one of my favorite species. And I agree, much more common in Asia. Europe gets a decent amount of SA giants too. More often than the US, that's for sure. They seem to get gigantea somewhat regularly, unlike NA.

An actual gigantea

Have a few other pedes and planning to get more, but this one has to take the prize for now.
That's so sick, that's what I want is a collection of the giants. I've been hearing sp white legs gets longer than gigantea, have you heard any claims to that?

I’ve heard similar claims, but from what I’ve seen both species appear to get to similar sizes, with true gigantea being a bit more robust.

I could actually get “white legs” if I wanted but the price tag….not as high as a true gigantea but still. As for other giant inverts right now I have two Theraphosa (blondi and apophysis), Pandinus imperator and Gigantometrus swammerdami so don’t have too much to add to the collection size-wise (at least once they all grow up).

I want to be you when I grow up, I'd love a G. Swammerdami. All I'm gonna focus on is trying to get the "big 6". Being A.gigas, G. Swammerdami, probably sp white legs and a Acanthophrynus coronatus I have 2 of the 6 Mastigoproctus giganteus, young still red and a young T.blondi I've been growing.

The egyptian camel spider is said too be the largest solifugid. I think I'd be fun to try out, young ones are pretty available I'd just be worried about it dying randomly on me.

Well I can’t get A. coronatus or M. giganteus over here (amblypygids in general are minor in the trade here), so….
