I went to Key West and decided to look for C. guanensis. I only found centipedes and millipedes. But the centipedes looked really cool and I always wanted one so I caught one for myself. I looked at Fort Zachary Taylor on Key West. If anybody goes there flip rocks on the nature trail and you're bound to find some. I found a lot but only caught, I'm too slow. :? Since this is my first pede and it was wild caught I'm not at all sure of what species it is. Can anybody help me out? Again it's native to Key West and it's about 2 1/2 inches (8 cm).

Well interestingly enough, I just reciently purchased 2 centipedes from a reptile show both of which were simply named the "Key West Centipede" I thought to myself that I'd just look up the scientific name when I got home, but I can't seem to find anything. Is yours brown in coloration?
