Cemophora coccinea copei? anyone else raise these?

I am curious if anyone else is raising these? Currently I have a small W/c male that I acquired at around 3.5 inches. (maybe 4) I have successfully switched it to taking F/T pinkies. Right now it is probably 11 inches or so. I have had him for about 2 years now. It was difficult at first to get him eating, but he finally gave in.

Wonderful species though. I am just curious if these are being bred in captivity or not?

Matt this isnt a Red milk. LOL

It has a solid white stomache. This is a Norther scarlet.

LOL I feel like a dummy. Looks just like one. Just went an lookd at me missouri reptile book. :wall: Barely a difference between the two.

no, its alright man. I thought it was a red milk myself. Untill I went to the MDC pdf file of missouri snakes.

There are only a few subtle differences in between the two.

A. the northern scarlet has a white belly, and makings along the side, with an orangish hue to the head.neck area.

B. the red milk has a black and white checkered belly, and the red spots go from the top of the back down to the belly.
