Nothing looks better in miniature than a big phat spider dump on the sofa!

Whatever the design, be sure to still give it the comforts it needs. hiding space etc. adjust to the species. a vertical hide in the form of drapes might work well with the design. Just make sure the spiders needs and comforts are taken as first priority. It probably couldnt care less if the thing in the middle was a rock or little TV toy :)

a bathtub/shower/sink/hot tub etc would work well as a water dish.

All about Pholcids with a sprinkling of ohms law toss in. Bear with me ,,, or not.

My sweety's 650 watt leaf blowing porch cleaner fried. Nice cloud of smoke. For about $18 I'm surprised it lasted an entire month. So I tore it apart, natch. Jeeeze people, you could at least varnish the windings. And smart thinking, making the cord such thin cheap wire it acted like a fuse. So scrounging time. (Pholcids, guy).
Rounded me up a couple of fried super slim lightweight vacuums. 2000 watts and zilch cooling air through the motor. Genius design, people. And packed off all the bits and pieces to a motor winder shop.
Me: "Simple simple. Throw some wire in that stator. Like a double dose. I'm going to cram it in this blower."
Him, "You'll fry the rotor in about 2 seconds."
Me, "Not if I cram that other rotor in instead.|
Him, "Won't fit."
Me, "Will. I'm going to swap out the bearing housing from that other one. Epoxy fills all sorts of gaps."
Two weeks later. 'Come get your motor. 20 20 guarantee. Twenty seconds or twenty feet from my shop. (Pholcids, guy! I'm getting there!)
Planetary re-entry. Reassemble. Discovered fried cord. Only spare cord I got is from the blender I fried. 2 1/2 feet long. She's going to be pissed. She was already bitching the 6 foot cord was too short. No prob. I'll build in an extension cord ... eventually. And nertz. Triac-diac pair fried too? Oh well, go for the gusto. Bye bye variable speed. Full blast or nothing.
Upstairs landing, Have to sit on the floor next to the outlet. Test time. Blow the dust off the light fixture way up there. WHOA! That rocks!

Now I got about fifteen or twenty furious pholcids roaming the landing and stair well looking for less windy accommodations.

PS Even with a fifteen foot cord she will still be pissed. Never has forgiven me for cramming a five horse in our canister vacuum. Cleared off her dressing table in one quick hurry.
PPS And now, Since I already found the epoxy and have it out, time to redesign her spiff new lightweight soon to burn out vacuum. Looking at some serious plastic surgery.

Well, considering cellar spiders are cosmopolitan and already live in everyone's houses, it should be no problem. If that's not legal and ethnical, I don't know what is!
In some places (like my region) they're also invasive! So I would actually recommend keeping these if they're invasive in your area!
