I noticed my Versicolor was getting quite fat so I skipped 2 or 3 feedings and it's still quite large. I'm going to try to find the smallest cricket i can tomorrow to feed it cause I'm worried I'm starving the little guy. Should I keep fasting it as I also can't tell if it's in premolt?

No I've fasted it for a few weeks. Meaning i haven't fed it but the fatness hasn't changed at all.

Yeah don’t feed it. Just give make sure it has water.

It’ll look better after a molt. For the meantime WAIT.

Or? A tarantula will only get thinner by molting....it's the essence of how they grow.

Being both fat and thin are natural parts of every spiders life....neither would be considered unhealthy....both are normal....thin after molting, fat before.

That T is fatter than Jupiter, are you crazy!! DO NOT feed it. Versi unlike all other Avics get FAT fast! Sorta like Brachy's

Idk Viper, I like my T's with some junk in the trunk. I wait 10 years for them to molt too

I didn't say it was unhealthy. It's that the OP is "crazy" if s/he thinks they need to feed that animal.
