Thinking about owning a C. Versicolor but not sure if it has any crazy requirements or anything. Watched a few care videos but still want some more info. Any information and advice about keeping this species would be appreciated! I have one B. Hamorii as my only T right now and am thinking of ordering a few more btw.

They are easy to care for, like any tarantula. But, these, like Avics, are particularly unforgiving to husbandry mistakes.

Lots of beginners end up killing theirs by improper care. Do the research. Or get a well developed juvenile.

Even a more grown sling will be a little less susceptible to husbandry errors than the tiniest ones. My versicolor was about 2" DLS when I got it in April 2022, and looks like this last molt it just got its adult colors.

Even at 1.5" or 2" DLS you can easily house it in a 32oz deli cup. Mine is kinda terrified of everything that isn't a cricket, so it liked a nice cozy little enclosure 🤣 probably would've been happier in the deli cup for another molt if I left it.

😂thank you for your advice. If I do get one I’ll make sure it’s a larger sling around an inch and a half or so
