IMPORTANT to note that we cannot consider these as the cure. Dysecdysis has no cure. Care is at best assistive/palliative.

Some T keepers use a diluted solution to soften and prepare rigid exuviae for sexing.
That's what I do, but there is a difference between putting soap on a discarded exoskeleton and applying soap to a life tarantula. Anyway, I would only consider putting soap on a tarantula that is about to kick the bucket because it is stuck halfway its moult, which is not the case with the OP's T.

UPDATE:
Since I moved my HP to an area closer to the heater he seems to be doing fine in his current enclosure. (If he makes it thru the next molt well upgrade him to a final enclosure) He has a full bottle cap full of fresh water at all times and because he’s temp by the heater he’s been a whole new T!! Maybe before he was just cold?? I keep all my Ts in the same room in the 70-80s degrees. I even have a M. mesomelos (spelling??) which are notorious for liking things cooler and he’s flourishing as much as my OBT and their enclosures are only feet from each other in the same room. We have never had bad luck with our temp/humidity before but maybe that was it... let’s hope!!!!!
