I kept my P.Cancerides on 3" of peatmoss with a water dish and a Flower pot for a Hide. You should invest in an T Book, "Tarantulas and other Arachnids" is my Favorite. It has lots of pics & Info including Info on P.Cancerides.

As I mentioned in one of your earlier posts, I strongly suggest you get a copy of The Tarantula Keeper's Guide and start reading. It is prudent to do some reading before jumping into a hobby, especially when you are responsible for a critter's life. It is a shame that the pet shop sold you a mislabeled T, but I get the impression that you did very little to learn about tarantulas before purchasing one.

Also, it is OK to include more than one question/statement per post. It is not neccessary to ask each question individually.

Give your Ts better homes per the advice you're getting and then give them a little time to acclimate. It won't make your P. cancerides into a sweet little Avicularia, but both your Ts may get less defensive or feisty.
