Can I house a scorpion in a large jar?

Hi I'm still relatively new to all of this and I was wondering if I could house a hadrurus arizonensis, a centruroides species, or a dune scorpion in about a 1-2 gallon jar. The type you get from Target with cheese balls in it. It's about a foot in height and about 10 inches wide. I understand that if I were to put a hadrurus arizonensis I would have to put a lot of substrate. I also understand if I would need a larger tank to house the creature in.

Those containers would ne great for a centruroides sp since its tall.. add like an inch of substrate. Tall piece of bark and poke some tiny holes in the lid and keep humidity up . Will make a cool display container
A dune or desert hairy will look like u got a tub fill of ground up cheese puffs lol will never see em

Hadrurus arizonensis likes to dig shallow and long burrows and so a deep and narrow enclosure like you propose would not be good for this species.

Thanks for all your reply's!!! I'll avoid hadrurus arizonensis for now then. So it would be good for a centruroides species? I'm thinking a gracilis. If so about how many would I be able to keep in the jar, or should I just keep one?

It would be perfect for Centruroides. Some vertical bark and you’re in business.

It would literally be fine for anything arboreal or even semi arboreal!!

I keep my Lychas marmoreous in a tall, cylindrical plastic food container. Works perfectly fine for arboreal scorps, a Centruroides would be perfect for a large jar

An enclosure with 12 inches of height and 10 inches of horizontal space isn't very ideal for a scorpion. They don't need much height but they need quite a bit of ground space.

Generally yes, but some species get quite large and should have something larger.
