i don't think that this is a Scolopendra gigantea.

i think it's probably a "robusta."

somebody says they are the same species each other.

maybe you need more experts to help you...

It is not a S. gigantea, she doesn't even occur in Ecuador...
It's an undescribed specie of Scolopendra from Ecquador or mayby Scolopendra angulata, but we don't know it.

I agree with Greg, we'd need a nice little ID key for Sc. Gigantea to say if it would be one. I know color isnt the way to tell a specie but up to now, i've never yet seen a gigantea that looked like that.

Hey Steven, could you help us out with a bit of an ID key?

Hey kondo, Don't be too upset if it's not gigantea, unless you paid a lot for it. It's a nice looking pede. I'm sure you'll enjoy it anyway!

And it's also one ob the biggest :)
And I think very pretty specie, there is a lot of confusion with those species...

wow! very nice:clap: my gigantea(whiteleg) just molted about 2weeks ago,she's pushing 12" 1"thick,big girl i gotta get a camera:wall:
