Looking online they seem like a peaceful little creature. Lots of websites say they tend to be pretty peaceful and more of the scavenger type. I'm not in any aquarium groups, so thought I would ask here :)

These dwarves with pincers, do people find them at all predatory with other members of a tank? I'm looking for a different addition to a paludarium. It currently houses snails, neocardinia shrimp and kuhli loaches. I'm really only worried about the Cambarellus patzcuarensis preying upon the neo shrimp and snails. I keep assassin snails and want to keep them on order to keep the pest snails in check.

Anyone have experience?

Decided on 4 after going around to different shops and asking. Nobody was too sure of much, so I decided to put them in another tank that only has some snails, shrimp and Hara jerdoni, which are about the same size.

Hoping for the best, everyone said peaceful, under 5cm.

Any issues thus far with these messing with the Neocardinia sp. or other inhabitants ?

So far they seem pretty peaceful. Unfortunately one died last week. They seem to just go around, bumping into things, including the shrimp, and everyone just changes direction :) but they aren't big. I am wondering how big they may get. At this size everything seems pretty relaxed, next time I'm in the city I plan to get some more :) cute little guys!

Well that’s good that they’ve stayed peaceful! Sorry to hear one passed last week!
I was assuming that they’d be adult size by now? Perhaps I didn’t realize they weren’t! But that’s nice they’re a good addition to other tanks without problems of predating on other animals!

I think they are adult size. Pet store said so. It's just my first time caring for them, so I'm leaving their estimation as an unknown to me for now hehe. they are as long as a Canadian twoonie is wide roughly.

I also want to wait a bit longer before thinking they are safe. I still wouldn't have them sith say tadpoles or something less fierce/fast. I've had bad experiences with shrimp with claws before, so I'm taking it slow haha. our main native species in Taiwan will crawl on land to murder things!

So far these cute little Mexican guys are doing just fine though. have a betta in there and when they bump up against each other nose to nose, they both just turn and go away.

Casualties may occur within a community set up.
Natural Selection, Survival of the Fittest,

An Occasional Mishap
Overcrowding, Population density.
Not to mention other Environmental Factors.
