Calcium question

Hello,
I have a few desert millipedes and saw most use a calcium supplement for them.
My question is, could I just use the same calcium supplement I give my snake? Or do I need a specific kind?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.

I feed crushed eggshells without this skin inside to my millipedes.

That was another thing I saw :0
I suppose I do eat a lot of eggs, so may go with that technique to be safe.

I have crushed eggshells in with mine, but I have also sometimes sprinkled a little reptile calcium powder on their food or on the substrate. I was told by Craig from Millipedes and More (who raises/breeds/sells millipedes) to avoid using calcium supplements with added D3, but the plain calcium powder without D3 is fine. (The powder I was using does contain the D3, which is why I switched to the eggshells after he told me not to use it. I didn't notice any problems with it, but then I hadn't been using it for very long, either.) Craig suggested using eggshells or a little piece of cuttlebone.

Awesome, I went with eggshells since I made breakfast for tomorrow.
Thanks so much for the help.

I started using oyster shell flour and I like it. I mix it with bird grit and ground cuttlefish bone. I think egg shells are dandy, too. :smug:

Snaps, I think I will be keeping the powder in mind and also look into oyster shell flour.
Always like having multiple options, especially since I do have a fondness for isopods too c;
