Hi folks! I'm quite new to the hobby...I have jumping spiders and my other T is a B. emilia sling, who is doing quite well. I picked up a C. versicolor sling today from a local vendor (who I also got the B. emilia from), and I'm concerned about it's enclosure for the moment.
I ordered an arboreal spiderling enclosure <edit> (2"x 4" AMAC), but it was delayed in shipping and with the USPS delays, I'm concerned that it won't be here until early next week. My issue with the one it came in is, after reading a million things here on the board about cross ventilation, this vial has none. The plastic is very brittle, and I don't want to try to put holes in it, esp. with the sling inside.
I'm not sure if I should leave it in there until I receive the one <edit> or...what. The only nearly suitable thing I have on hand that's tall enough is a 16 oz deli cup. I have substrate, fake plants, etc. I just want to do what's best for the little one, and lessen the risk of it not thriving. Open to any and all suggestions. Thank you! I have provided pics of the vial and the only ventilation it has.
