buthidae in the uk

does anyone know where i can buy buthidae in the uk? i know buthids are illegal unless you have a dwa lisence but im only looking to purchase some centruides, but no where sells 'em. that or im going to have to settle for h.spadix, anyone else know of any intresting scorps similar to centroides that you can get in the uk?
can you get v.spinigerus or confusus in the uk?

I don't personally know but you should try to talk to some of the dealers in the classified section. There's gotta be one willing to give it a try... I also remember going to a strictly UK invert site.. I think they had a decent variety. Not positive though. Best of luck.

one buthid leads to another...


my first was Hottentotta polystictus, then within 1 month i had deadly species like M.tamulus and P.transvallicus
(sold em all now)
stay out of it !!!!!!!!!!! or do it legaly

if buthids are a no no , then can anyone reccomend some interesting desert species of scorp other than h.spadix/arizonesis. there seems to be 5 types of scorps in england heterometrus sp, p. imp, p.cavimanus, h trog/paucidens and h.arizonesis and ive had most of them, can someone suggest something else (or a way to get some buthids)

Well i just love Scorpio maurus. They look good, have more attitude than my other scorps and are active so i´d recommend those.

I would suggest that the legal method is simply ridiculous unless you will be keeping a lot of buthids. See my recent thread for some thoughts about that..

I may get one though...it depends whether I am successful in getting my bank charges back!

I've sold several Vaejovis spinigerus to the UK, perhaps you should get some of them? I'll have many for sale come spring.
