Here he is buried if you look in there with a flashlight you'll see his rump right there. This is a side shot of the enclosure.

You can see the freshly pushed out dirt and how he left webbing over the front door. Normally it would be more open and you would see his legs right there waiting to sense me put something in.

Completely normal behaviour. When nearing a molt, that's what they do: nothing. All energy goes to forming the new exoskeleton under the old one. This also is the reason why they are even less active than before, the old exo is hindering them, so to speak. Imagine yourself in a reeally tight jumpsuit and sweater, you won't be able to move much. ;)
Completely understandable that you're worried, but not necessary.

Looks normal. How big is the spider? And how big is the enclosure?

My big question is... what will happen to his molt? Will he kick it out? Do i need to go fishing for it eventually to prevent rot?
No one can predict what your T will do w/its molt. We cannot read the mind of a T ;)

No need to fish it out, they don't rot. Many Ts will kick it out, many won't. Many "alternate" the removal/keeping of molt too.
