If he hasn't moved an inch in three weeks then it might be a good idea to try and poke him to see if you get any kind of reaction, even in deep premolt it's unusual for a tarantula not to move at all, I'm going to assume you bought this tarantula from a pet shop?? If so judging by how fast it burrows it's probably one of our obligate burrowing arid species, what's his legspan?

Mmm I'm so tempted. Not sure.. close to ten cm. He's a kuttabul and I got him off gumtree. Adults shouldn't be so temp sensitive he'd block his hole and die night one?? Wasn't a very cool night. Only asking because I can't think of anything else that could have killed him

He's alive!! It is his moult i've been looking at for three weeks! So relieved. Just opened a little hole near where he blocked his hole. He has been given a squished cricket. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the update. Glad it's fine and was just molting.
Wish more Aussie species were available here in the U.S.

Just a dead cricket I killed. Just in case it hurts him post moult. He didn't take it, just sealed up his burrow again :)
