I have my adult arboreal species in these exact enclosures, i love the easy access door, magnets, locking mechanism, and how easy they are to assemble, but I was worried they are too small though for 6 inch spiders... am i worrying for nothing? is there even a bigger acrylic option thats not a mesh lid enclosure? I looked on tarantula cribs for something bigger, but theirs is the exact same size of 8" x 8" x 12".
It depends how large your T is gonna get. Right now i have a regalis in a 8x8x12 and she'll outgrow that. If your T is 7 and up i may consider jumping a size. Check out herpcult cages if you want to go the acrylic route. Some species would do jist fine all their life in an 8x8x12. What sp is your T?

The thing is, 18 inches high in acrylic is going to get very expensive.

you can get that height in glass for probably less then it would cost in acrylic.

jaimies tarantulas enclosure go up to 14”.

From what I can see herpcult uses mesh lids and I'm trying to avoid that because their tarsal claws can get stuck.
I have quite a few arboreals, its mostly various pokies, but also p. irminia, t. seladonia, a. avicularia, etc. I suppose if your regalis is going to outgrow that it answers the size question for a lot of them.
Is herpcult the only huge ones out there? The Sizes they have look great but i don't see acrylic lid options.

I just wrote to them to learn about their mesh lids.

So I actually tried this with one of my pokies, at first it seemed great, but I ran into the issue of it clinging upside down to the lid, which makes refilling the water dish and feeding it kind of challenging lol.

as soon as you get into larger sizes, all the issues with acrylic get multiplied, so large ACR containers are few and far between.
Tarantula Cribs makes replacement lids for Exoterras, as do I
