Here is my Boehmei, I’ve only had it for a week. Not sure if it’s male or female yet because it’s still just a baby

brachypelma smithi, my very first tarantula! not sexed yet, but next moult my SO will help me learn to sex it. i never thought i would have a spider as a pet, i’ve always been afraid. i decided i wanted to get over my fear and after research i decided on these guys for my intro species. i’m really happy i made that decision and i deeply love my tarantula which i never, ever thought i would type much less say. i’ve named the little one legs!

He really is lovely, purchased from Tarantula Canada. If nothing else I see legs when he’s pouncing on food.

He thinks he is. He stood at the entrance to his burrow giving me a threat pose when I refreshed the water bowl.
