Totally agree! It's almost as if they "glow"Yes, I have others that are kinda dark grey. This dark one is quite stunning esp right after the molt.
I can not say that I really know. This spider was in a collection that I bought from a pet store ( that bought them from a collector retiring from the hobby) . That black triangle has confused me for years. I have heard that the carapace marking can vary drastically with in Brachypelma though ( See the above pics of B auratum posted by elportoed )Stunning spider, Tom. Looks like a, uh, B. emi-boe-thi. Is it a hybrid or a not yet described species?
