Nice spider. My angustum is one of my most aggressive spiders. I have some Haplopelmas, Poes and they are more calm then that.

Does anyone want to give me an opinion on these two? I was sold both as B.vagans but my adult male looks more like Bark's B. sabulosum and I was wondering if the female may be the same. I mated her with a male vagans and the sac produced was a dud, could this be why or is the female a vagans?

Male

The other male vagans I had a loan of lacked the gold sheen on the carapace, given how similar sabulosum and vagans look when juvenile I'm wondering if perhaps they've been mixed up?:?

b. smithi 5+" female

sorry for the quality, we found the megapixel button shortly afterwards:wall:

b. albopilosum 5" unsexed (due to lack of effort/interest and no lack of urticating hairs!)

Check this out, maybe is nothing, but anyway. Today I took pictures of my both b. verdezi.
Look at the coloration on carapace:

On the left is more colored black, and I think(I saw this before on juvrniles B.smithi) that more colored are females. This teory is not proven by moult yet. They are 2-3cm LS
Let me say that both are from same egg-sac, and they even moult almost at the same time. Maybe the differece in growth, between females and males, comes later?
Here more pictures:

Best regards Uros

Awesome pics! Smithii is the classic T!
Hey I just did a bit of gogling and digging on the names of Ts.
I came to the conclusion that Bracypelma means short foot!

Nice Nymphs Eman, very cute!
Do nymphs molt and molt or stay at that stage until they molt and then become a sling?

Thank you guys!

Tegenaria: The next molt will be their 2nd instar molt (full fledged spiderlings).

Gigus: Here's a picture of the female (as of today). See the links below for pics of the male, female and mating. Essentially, this species is very closely related to B. vagans. I suspect it to be either B. epicureanum or a polymorphic variant of B. vagans.
