In the pet store getting crickets and staring right now at a B. Baumgarteni sling for sale. I believe these are very hard to find nowadays maybe even rare. It's been years since I've seen one for sale.

UPDATE: Nevermind bought it.Only found a few offering these slings $20 - $30 more online. This place only had one and cheaper.

True B. baumgarteni? That's cool and totally worth it IMO if so.

Cheapest brachy my shop sells are wc red knees $124-150 ..
Are they sub-adults to adult specimens? If they are, that is a good price for bringing in new bloodline with WC specimens.

Yes I would have bought them but I don’t have the money right now . It’s just hard to trust a pet shop that sold me sick specimens mostly but it’s possible 2 of them just had bad molts lost ability to drink .

Are they real ones? Lots of people sell wrong slings and claim they are rarer species for £££

Brachypelma species are listed in CITES, no WC specimens can be exported.
There are CB exports from Mexico which come with CITES certificates
Hmm they look wc just like all there other species except pokies but perhaps there not ? Are they probably unsexed Males how is it that none are gender id at these sizes ?

I don't know if it's a true blood. The sling is almost 1 inch. I will not know until it sports it's adult colors. It was labeled Brachypelma baumgarteni. It could turn out being B. boehmei or a hybrid.

Time will tell, if it turns out a boehmei I'm good with that as I wanted one of them too. If it turns out a hybrid then that'll suck.

Two pics I just snapped of almost 1 inch Brachypelma baumgarteni sling after I removed the pieces of mealworm.

The other sling is Dolichothele rufoniger now about 3/4 of an inch. I got it at 1/16 of an inch on 12/12/2023. Pic is from today

B. baumgarteni.......I hope
