Mind saying what the dimensions of the exo terras are in these posts? (actually looks like the Chilobrachys is in something that isn't exo terra)

Would be very helpful. Also, really digging the decor your P. victori put up.
He uses repti zoo I only know because I have my Euthalus in the same thing 😊

Dimensions are 10x10x10”, not sure about it’s brand. Back then, it was given away to me along with other tarantula in it.

Arachnoboards user @BtwnRivrs was parting away with his two beloved tarantulas, I gladly took them in my care.

I just finished rehousing both:
  • Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
    • Suspect matured male
  • Eupalaestrus campestratus
    • Unsexed

My speculation would be this Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens is not matured yet or is not a male at all.

I am leaning more toward to that it’s a female.

For, Eupalaestrus campestratus I would need more time to guess it’s sex, because I have no idea yet, and I am not so well informed for this species at all. In fact, it was first time seeing / heard of this species at all.

Two days ago I did rehouse Haploclastus devamatha.
Two days after, it already made a small turret, and it is on-going.

As of today, Monocentropus balfouri is now matured male.

IMG_6565.jpeg

It’s recent molt dates are as follow:

Jul 22, 2021
Oct 9, 2021
Mar 5, 2022
May 26, 2022
Aug 16, 2022
Nov 19, 2022
Apr 23, 2023

I thought it would turn out to be a female, but as it matured today, I was wrong.

This freshly molted one will be sent off to a female coming Saturday.

I am keeping track of all of molt dates for tarantulas I am keeping as shown below:

IMG_0194.jpeg

Once they mature, it’s pretty close to about yearly molt cycle, with some exception.

For instance, Chilobrachys natanicharum last molted on 10/15/2022, which means within a month or two, I can fairly assume that it will molt.

IMG_0195.jpeg
IMG_0196.jpeg

To support my assumption even more, it spent a few days to web up densely it’s surrounding. Now it spends it’s day quite calmly, stays still.

Will it molt soon? I can only assume, but who knows? It is all part of the fun aspect of observing it.

As I suspected, Chilobrachys natanicharum is currently molting at the very moment.

Whenever I come across terms like pet rocks, pet holes, I just can’t seem to relate much.

Yes, of course I understand that these terms are made up for fun, no need to be so serious about it.

For instance, Haploclastus devamatha is one of the most active tarantulas I keep. It’s put and about half the time.

It disagrees to be called a pet hole with every fiver of it’s whole body.

I’ve been looking around quite some time to acquire Pelinobius Muticus sling, but it wasn’t as easy as I thought. Most of the time, the species was either out of stock or already matured with a high price tag. Today, however I was lucky enough to find one, then some more.

Today I acquired the following:

All are unsexed, and about 1”

Grammastola Pulchra - $50
Pelinobius Muticus - $40
Ybyrapora Diversipes - $75
Eupalaestrus Weijenberghi - $75

It’s time for me to research Eupalaestrus Weijenberghi, for I’ve never heard of this species before. Oh joy!

Haploclastus devamatha is enjoying terrestrial life.

Instead of staying, lurking in the burrow, it intentionally, boldly out in the open.

Oh... so you were the one that snatched that Y. diversipes I was looking at.

Ybyrapora Diversipes
Eupalaestrus Weijenberghi

I brought both home on 10/25/2023, and rehoused both.

Ybyrapora Diversipes molted on 10/27/2023.

IMG_0406.jpeg

Eupalaestrus Weijenberghi is molting at the moment, on 11/04/2023.

This beautiful freshly matured 1.0 Pamphobeteus sp Machala (matured on 07/17/2023) was given to me on 10/28/2023, by my friend.

IMG_7729.jpeg

Since then it was rehoused, ate one male dubia roach, two large crickets, and two superworms, and most importantly made the sperm web.

IMG_0414.jpeg
IMG_0415.jpeg
IMG_0437.jpeg

It was huge, and had gorgeous shiny purple color.

For it to fulfill the duty as a matured male, I made the inversonal classified post, with the terms of service as follow:
  • The male is free
  • I just want 6 slings back once it goes successful. Rest is all yours
  • If the shipping involves, you pay for shipping for both the male that ships out to you, and also for slings that ship out to me, if it were to be successful
Then found the local user with two breed ready females. The male was picked up today. Below is the paring footage with the permission to use:

I thought the male is huge, but this female is even larger, so amazing. It seemed the pairing went smoothly. Now it’s time to cross my fingers.

Bumba horrida Is molting currently, I never bothered to sex it, but it looks like a male to me in these pictures. Since this is dwarf species, this molt might turn it into matured male.

IMG_0507.jpeg
IMG_0508.jpeg

And it molted, and molted well.

And it looks female.

Pamphobeteus solaris is molting currently.

Once it is done molting, and hardening, then it is time for rehouse to larger enclosure.

Tiny less than half inch Homoeomma chilense arrived safely, and rehoused well.

It is so tiny, and I love it.

I am looking forward to grow this species into maturity yet again.

Exactly a month ago, Pelinobius Muticus was housed into this enclosure.

IMG_0392.jpeg

Now, a month later, it looks like this.

IMG_0641.jpeg
IMG_0644.jpeg

It excavated so much substrates to make two burrows, and a main chamber where it dwells.
