The Tarantula Keeper's Guide by Stanley A. Schultz and Marguerite J. Schultz

Ok.. Not to sound silly, but how much of a difference should the original and the 2nd edition have?

Is it worth getting both?
Stan said the third should be out in January if i remember right. so ...
Anyway. Its a great book and the Stan and Marguerite are great folks. Very knowledgeable and very willing to spread the knowledge.

Still new. Hope I do this correctly.

Thank you so much for all the feedback on this book - worth a wee bit more than a random reviewer on Amazon could provide (meaning, I respect this community's opinion so much.) Will be heading out directly to buy a copy.

Anybody know if any tarantula breeders/dealers are selling this book? I'd rather support someone working in the hobby than some big old corporation like Amazon.

I've got lots of book written by german / european authors (Volker von Wirth, Boris Striffler, Soren Ravn and many others) but the longer I'm here on the boards the more I got fascinated in how different some opinions or habits in the T hobby are between americans and europeans.
That's why I got interested in TTKP (which han't been translated into german). Luckily the german Amazon affiliate is offering not only books in german language but also most of the books that the american mother company sells. So when I searched for this book in autumn I was that there is a second edition due in January of next year. That's why I decided to preorder the new one instead of buying the first edition. I'm sure it has not only the newest facts in T husbandry but also the etimology will be brought up to date.
Can't wait to keep it in my hands.

Just got the 2nd edition Monday and from all the reading and skimming I've done so far, I love this book. This book has a ton of info and will come in very handy to have. I will be ordering the 3rd edition once it's released.
