B. cyaneifemur

4" female Bonnetina cyaneifemur. Freshly molted.

I have a male around the same size... hopefully she'll be big enough when he matures.

THERE IS A FEMALE IN AMERICA??? I've been looking for MONTHS! My male has been mature for some time now, so I doublt he'll still be good when your girl matures. How long do you think it will be before she's ready to mate?

I'd rather have him at least be able to spend some time with a woman and die happy, even if he isn't producing sperm anymore.

I've had these 2 sexed as M/F since about the 1.5" mark. I got them both at 0.5" in February, 2004.

I saw your posts about your male, but never contacted you b/c my female was too small of course.

She just reached the 3" mark this past week. I would have no problem attempting to mate her after her next molt... won't be full grown but probably sexually mature.

This is a sub-adult male Bonnetina cyaneifemur. The female pictured above will be ready for love when he matures :)

:( I've been searching the entire country for a female for my male!!! Would you consider letting him have a bit of fun with your girl before he goes the the great burrow in the sky?

B. cyaneifemur mating

Here's some photos I took last night of mating Bonnetina cyaneifemur.

The camera flash does this species no justice. Unlike some species with blue coloration, in which the flash really brings out the color nicely, this species gets dulled down. In natural light this species is so spectacular... I really love it.

Yes, they are spectacular! Good luck, hope you get a sac! Sadly, my male died a virgin last month. :(

This species is very hard to photograph indeed... here is a picture of a female of ours.

Eric, how big is your female?

Stunning genus guys!! Thanks for posting this, I'm not that into NW theraphosids, that are in the trade anyway, but they are awesome!!

Here is a pic of a small female rudloffi, I often get alot of blue on the legs when I take pics of it. These are not sopposed to be blue:rolleyes: the legs do not look this blue in real life.

B. cyaneifemur eggsac

Extremely excited about this one :)

Bonnetina cyaneifemur with eggsac. The eggsac was pulled after 21-days and things look good.
