Hello! I discovered a magnolia tree and gathered leaf litter with sticks attached. I have Narceus gordanus and was wondering if it’s safe to boil and put the leaf litter in their enclosure. I gathered both brown leaves and still green leaves. Should I only add the brown leaves? Is this risky? I saw Magnolia leaf litter for sale at the pet store so I thought this would be alright. Does anyone have any experience with Smokey oaks and magnolia leaves? Thank you so much!
Oh also, I purchased sphagnum moss from the pet store but instead of brown it’s still green. Is this safe for my millipedes? It says 100% natural so I don’t think it’s dyed… it’s the THRIVE brand.

Post pics of the moss.

Never used magnolia, only oak. Yes, you can boil them.
