I cannot find any blue fang care sheets specifically for slings. I want to know how to sustain the high humidity and how you guys keep them as slings.

Just pour a bit of water into the enclosure if you notice the surface starting to dry out... they can basically be kept like any other tropical burrower. Keep things a bit moist, ensure good ventilation, and feed regularly. They will dig themselves a nice hole and stay in there the vast majority of the time.

If it's a small sling (baby according to TKG standards) a couple inches of substrate is good enough. Just make sure there's ample room for burrowing.

They don't always burrow on their own. My spiderling has taken up residence under bark chip against the wall of the vial, and made a web tunnel in the space between above the sub between cork bark and vial wall. Next rehouse, I'm going to use a pen give him a premade hole a bit, and the chip and see what it picks.

As for humidity, I use a blunt needle and a syring to add water below the sub's surface at times. Because he's small, his food bolus are going to be tiny and not all easy to find/see, so I keep the top slightly more dry to prevent mold growth.

It has been going to the top of the pill bottle and circling it for 3-4 laps then going back to the substrate for about 30 seconds and going back up. This has been going on for about one hour and I am confused.

I got one a couple weeks ago I provided enough substrate to burrow (I do for all our Ts as I’ve heard they will go through phases of burrowing even if they’re not a burrowing species) the little guy ended up going behind my little toadstool decoration webbed up and then made a substrate curtain. Little dude seems happy but hasn’t eaten. The person I got it from said it’s in premolt so I’m just patiently waiting. As for humidity I use a mixture biodude substrate with coco fiber and moss broke down and add a drainage layer and poke a hole in the corner of the substrate down to the rock layer and will add water as I notice the moisture layer level getting low and a small mist every couple of days for easy access to drinks. Will be ordering the small tattoo caps for sling water dishes soon. Hope this helps, also if anyone thinks this may be inadequate please let me know. I’ve just gotten back into tarantulas but definitely want to learn more and dive deeper into the knowledge out there
