Got some new 8" x 8" x 12" and 8" x 8" x 8" Exo Terra enclosures in. It's apparent that Exo Terra isn't consistent in their manufacturing lately. Pictured are two different 8" x 8" x 12" Exo Terra's.

A few of them have the original logo with a wide ventilation strip opening while others have a slightly different logo with a small ventilation strip opening.

When you blow into the wide strip, you can feel the airflow coming from the top strongly.

As you expect, doing this with the small strip, the airflow is not nearly as strong as the wide strip. Still comes out, but not nearly as strong. Took a heavier breath as well to feel it.

Just wanted to let everyone know if you're looking to order online, try and find them at a local pet store so you can see the one you are getting. Look to the left of the "Exo Terra" logos, you can see the strip size differences.

I have, they didn't have a care in the world. I ordered a few more with free returns to test em'. If they are the small ventilation strips, I am returning all of them and going with Tarantula Cribs.

The frames are just plastic aren't they? I'd go at it with the grinding bit on my rotary tool.

I break the inside grill out, just have to be mindful of occlusion

I placed the cork bark above it to help ventilate the burrow that also opens in the back, that mess is deliberate, just wanted to show what it looks like without the grill

No that's not her water dish that is her emotional support swamp. I just caught her depositing a wad of dirt (these pictures are a few minutes apart from the lasr). She prefers to drink from the rainfall I simulate

You are welcome to try to take it from her (I'm kidding, she's one of my most docile)

I've been trialing her in a 12x12 for a few molts to dial in the ventilation/moisture balance for more advanced species...I'm so afraid to use glass and nil ventilation it offers...she was my second ever T and my first sling so she's been a durable subject over the years 😂 Anyway, ventilation is so good I have to make it rain about 1x a week to rewet the sub...it dries completely...but I only have about 6 inches.

Too much work, rather just return them and go with something else to be honest.

That's a pretty good idea, but again, rather return everything than have to toy with it. Your setup looks good though!
