I was thinking about the heat packs while reading some other posts. I think that if you have some, they'd be great to use while the power is out if you have no other source of warmth!

AvicMan, if i end up having to use the stove for heat, you bet i'm gonna be camping out on the floor too! You have some good ideas there with the water bottles and cooler. :D
Thanks :worship::worship::D:clap:

have any of you considered heating your house up before the power goes out? like turn on your stove burners and anything that would produce heat so you would have just enough heat to see you through.

That all depends on how long the electric is out.

Wow.. it didn't occur to me that yalls Ts are in danger! We have a woodstove in the house... the power can go out, and we'll stay warm! (we have a box of wood right outside the front door, too). We were without power for 11 days one time... we used a generator and propane for a BBQ and to heat water for bathing.

I hope everyone and their critters stay safe!

Good new from Wisconsin - trees were down around my house but not power lines and, aside from the lights flickers a few times, we had no problems!

No problems here. :p good thing too, because I found out there would have been nothing I could have done, our heating is gas but is run by electricity, so I wouldn't even have been able to get hot water!

Wow sorry guys! its 35 deg. and rainy here!
I know doesn't it suck, 1 1/2 feet of snow one week and now its starting to melt:?
about a week ago we had our elecrticity go out for about half a day and all my T's managed without any heat. So I think yours will probably do just fine.

No problems with power outages here either! It's nice to have a white christmas, but i'll be happy when this starts to melt so i can actually get out of my driveway.

Slings are doing great man! thanks again and the power is all good here so far we are getting another round soon
Glad everyone's power stayed on and the animals stayed safe! (Mine was fine also. I'll take a blizzard over inches of solid ice ANY day, for that matter.)
