Birupes simoroxigorum maturity?

I got a female birupes simoroxigorum almost 2 months ago that molted a week ago. I just wanna know when I can start breeding her because there’s very little information about them and I’m planning on getting her a boyfriend All I know is that the seller told me she’s over 1 years old and she no longer has her blue legs. She was around 9cm when I got her, not sure how much she’s grown after molting

Males lose their blue too apparently. You can watch Dave’s little beasties for a pairing vid. The mature male I’m about to get for her has jet black legs too

Even if shes “mature”, she sure could use some feeding. You wrote that you have seen daves vids. Then you know he doesnt breed scrawny weak females. They still need to be ripe.

so make sure she is fit to be seeded. Or else you will probably get weak spiderlings and a dead female. That would be a shame.

Molt, which i am sure you know already.

each species has there little caprices, but breeding is breeding, and its a general rule. Strong females give better results. Its not a quick process.

You need to know their lifespan too. To avoid rushing things.

a quick breed is never good.

no judgement here, but personaly, i think you need to care for a species before you breed them. That way you know what to expect. Especialy with species that are less known. And i dont know your experience. You could be a master for all i know. But if you were a master, would you ask?

Oh I’m definitely not an expert, thank you for the insight. I’m trying to get her a bit plumper but I’ve also found out that this species can be quite difficult to feed which concerns me from time to time but she seems fine for now. I’ll probably hold off on the male til I know that she’s eating consistently again, and probably wait for another molt or 2

take your time to get to know your tarantula. You’ll be a better keeper and breeder. Especialy if this is not a common breed. You’ll have better buying rates with a healthy background.

she can eat male. Thats natural. Stress or no stress. Dont worry or think about that. The female is important here. Healthy, plump and strong.
