I've been interested in buying a tarantula for quite some time now, and i've just fallen in love with the brazili salmonpink birdeater, i have several other pets, but no t's of my own, though i babysit for a couple while their parents are away, do you think this is a good choice for a newb?

I think it would make a nice first T. Not the most docile, a very bold T. It grows to a very large size and has a very healthy appetite (meaning: it can't get enough of eating 
). If you want a spider that you can handle, you should get another one, but if you want a nice show spider, this is one of the best, it will rarely hide (will sometimes burrow when little). All in all I think a good choice.
