Thank you! 90% of the bugs are just found in my lil yard in North Carolina near Charlotte. The springtails were a couple hours away at Roan MountainWow. Loving the quality of your photos.
Where do you find all these bugs?
Looks like some massive neanurids! Those are incredible!I found some giant springtails on a hike yesterday in the mountains. I had no idea these existed. These are huge by springtail standards. Yeah they are so huge! I was so surprised to find them.
Arthroverts
There’s all kind of cool creepy crawlies in that area. The smaller you go, the more stuff there is to findMakes me wonder what kind of little critters are out in my forested backyard here in Houston. I've always seen a ton of movement but never focused on it with the kind of perspective you have with your equipment.
It's absolutely breathtaking and inspiring to see these kinds of shots of the tiny little lifeforms around our feet.
Love it.
On it!!There’s all kind of cool creepy crawlies in that area. The smaller you go, the more stuff there is to find
That is a pupa of some kind, it looks really cool! Could be a beetle! And yeah after rain is a great time to look for bugs, I plan on going out tonight and seeing what I can find. I use a Nikon D7500 and a Sigma 105mm with a raynox 150 or for even higher magnifications I use a Laowa 25mm lens. I don’t recall what flash I use but I use a cygnustech diffuser which makes a big differenceOn it!!
I've been out in the rain showers looking at all the bugs that have come crawling up because of the flood waters.
Sooooo many isopods, beetles and worms!
I found this weird cocoon thing floating in a puddle!

Do you mention what kind of camera and lens you use anywhere? I showed my GF your photos, and she's pushing me to do the same as I love hiking around and finding random creatures too.
I really want to pursue the kind of photography you do.
*inspired*
