western Indiana: the swallowtails are plenty active as of late and had a Polyphemis moth at my light over the weekend didnt expect to see polyphemis yet woo hoo

I noticed an orange tip today. Not spectacular, but I haven't seen one in years...

Interesting little bugs I've seen the last couple of summers are hummingbird hawkmoths, paying close attention to the buddleia. Used to be that they only visited the southern areas of the UK and Ireland. Global warming or not, I hope they turn up again this year.

Orange tip, speckled wood a few times, some painted ladies and mabye a small tortouse shell. Quite good for a few weeks of spring!;P

I saw a tiger swallowtail last Tuesday... way early for here in southeastern PA!
