I had put Lanky, my male G. rosea, in a deli cup with holes in it to send him home with "Malhavoc's". Well, we sat around and talked for awhile, and Lanky kept sticking his front legs through the holes and stretching them out. It was really cute, but had he been in a box shipping to someone, he could have gotten a leg stuck or worse, pulled off!
After seeing that, I don't use a hole punch anymore, just lots of little pin holes! They can still get air, but not stick a leg through!
