Better than egg flats....

anybody use something better than egg flats with their dubia? I have buffalo beetles in with my dubias and they shred the egg flats. any ideas ?

1. Buffalo beetles are in your tarantula enclosure
2. The hide you are using is egg flats

oops, my bad, meant in with my dubias, not t's

i am experimenting with Polyphaga saussurei atm, as carrion feeders with the B. dubia, in a naturalistic setup since they need to burrow

so far so good, no more phorid flies, but its only been a year so it hasn't been put through all the situations that could break the balance and crash the system
