Best Scorpions for Beginners?

Hey guys! I was wondering what scorpions to get, I wanted to on get started on scorpions. Can you recommend the best scorps I could get?

What are you willing to spend and what's available at your local market ?
Any low venom species will probably do.
You looking for woodland/bark/tree scorpion ? Or maybe desert/arid species ?

Best starter that is common here in our country would be H. longimanus species, fairly cheap and easy to care for; low venom and good adult size too.

I would say for pandinus imperator or heterometrus petersii or similar for more tropical species. You'll need to keep up humidity for them and keep heat in upper 70s n low to mid 80s. Give them enough substrate to burrow also. For desert I'd go with hadrurus species arizonensis spadix or pallidus arizonensis being the more common. theyll need some clay n sand mix substrate to burrow as well. Smeringurus mesaensis is another fairly common desert species with similar care requirements. These are a few options though there are many more species as well. You'll need to narrow down exactly what you're looking for! Happy keeping this is a fun hobby! Good luck!

Go for a tropical species like heterometrus (asian forest scorpion), they are big, live for several years, and are fairly easy to care for plus they have low venom levels.

I actually don't know anything about scorpions, all i know is how to house them. So i was hoping you could suggest some?

Hadogenes Troglodytes, Pandinus emperator, Chaerilus sp., Euscorpius sp., Scorpio Maurus and of course Heterometrus sp.

I would say your best bet would be any Heterometrus sp. , Hadogenes sp. and Pandinus sp. all of these have basic care and are quite hardy as wel as being quite chilled. Once more experience you could venture into the likes of Vaejovis or Hadrurus sp these make good beginners to but they are a little more venomous but nothing classed as dangerous or hot. The only down side is their aggression rather than being defensive and random bursts of speed.
