i’m curious if it’s best for a tarantula to be placed near a window or even on top of a window-sill? could direct light ( especially in the hotter months ) possible hurt tarantula? or the water evaporating quicker would be the only problem?
would it be enough to move the enclosure in a dark place in order to cool it down in the summer when needed or will it just unnecessarily stress out the spider?

Near a window (in a windowsill) with direct sunlight = cooked tarantula

Definitely don't want it in a windowsill.

Anywhere with very little or no direct sunlight, as long as they aren’t in a direct ray of light they will be fine. Also try to keep them away from open windows, pesticides and other chemicals can drift in and prove hazard.

In addition to protecting them from direct sunlight/windows, avoid putting them directly below (or next to) any other heat source, such as a radiator or heating vent, or an air conditioning unit or central heating/air conditioning vent. You want to avoid extreme temperatures in either direction. Also, if you have small children or other household pets (particularly cats) make sure the cage is where they can't get to it. Cats are notorious for finding their way into supposedly secure enclosures - or overturning enclosures or knocking them off shelves. Also, avoid putting the enclosure right on the edge of a shelf or desk, where it could easily be bumped and knocked off by someone passing by.

I never had to move a container into a dark room for cooling. Is your ceiling entirely glass, if so, you are living awesome! I know das Germans like stainless steel and glass.

In the corner as far away from heavy activity as possible. Also away from any windows, drafty areas, etc.
