I blister from Brachy setae. I have 24 Avics and not once have I even thought about being itchy doing maintenance.
Avics I’d still get regardless of hairs. I don’t understand how you don’t get itchy though.
I'm appalled no one has yet suggested specifically Psalmopeus victori or irminia. Absolutely beautiful species!
once I get money for new tree spider enclosures which I don’t have now
Psalmopeus would go top of the list.
I’m still buying Ts with urt setae, but I could put some without hairs in my bedroom. Then don’t gotta worry about setae flying around. It was a big pain removing my LP from my bedroom carrying the 20 gallon. And empty and throw away all the dirt.

I’m no closer to getting anything but I’m still compiling a list of good species to acquire with no hairs , .& (mild hairs). I’ll still probably get a few with mild hairs also. But phasing out anything with strong hairs. It hasn’t got bad enough to get rid of my lasiodora they don’t seem to kick alot. Eventually I’d want majority without setae.

Any Psalmopoeus sp. Would work wonderfully.

If you want a cool OWT get a Phormingochilus or Omothymus sp. Since they are arboreal you should see them more often than other Ornithoctoninae, except P arboricola, IME. OBTs are just classic and there are so many colour morphs, but I know you used to own a whole bunch of the suckers so maybe not. What about Ceratogyrus sp, or another Harpactirinae sp, like Augacephalus ezendami. Definitely on my list.

i can only tell you how much i enjoy my P. cambridgei. It quickly climbed the ladder into my top favorite Ts to keep.

Big, active, beautiful ... different.
